WooCommerce Custom Currencies

A very basic WordPress and WooCommerce plugin/extension that allows users to add their own currencies or to edit an existing currency’s symbol or label.

The plugin used the code snippet from the official tutorial here, but it was tweaked to support multiple currencies by the end user so as to not mess with any code. It should save some time too.

  • Adds any number of currencies.
  • If you want to edit an existing currency, enter its code in the currency’s code area.
  • Display prices with your own currency even if it’s not supported by Paypal and pay using a Paypal supported currency of your choice.

  1. This plugin is a very good supplement for this free plugin called PAYPAL CURRENCY CONVERTER BASIC FOR WOOCOMMERCE or its commercial counterpart PAYPAL CURRENCY CONVERTER PRO FOR WOOCOMMERCE.

  2. This plugin conflicts with PayPal Standard payment gateway. It throws you to a “Does not exist page” on PayPal.
A fix would be greatly appreciated. Happened after the latest WooCommerce Update 2.2.8.

  3. Hey, been using your plugin for a client and it’s pretty awesome. However, just yesterday it stopped working with Woocommerce and errors are showing up when you go into Woocommerce settings page. I don’t know if it’s the WordPress 4.1 update or your latest update to the plugin, but it would be good if you could look into it. I’ve disabled it for the time being.

  4. Hi,
It does seem to be broken now :( I’ve been using the plugin for quite some time and was very happy with it, but after the latest updates (WP to 4.1, WC to 2.2.10 and plugin to 2.1) Paypal show this error when trying to complete any payment:

    Error Detected
    Error Message
The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount.

Please, take a look into this and come with an update, until then I’ll have to deactivate the plugin.

    • the same happens to me … check the paypal link , is de decimal part of the number, 100 usd= paypal OK , 100.21usd = Error Detected
      Error Message

The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount.

i dont know which part of the code i have to modify
